SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT AT THE END!!

As I reflect on the past 2 and a half months in Costa Rica it has been nothing like I expected, it’s been even better. While serving with The Hope Project my perspective of ministry has shifted. I thought ministry had to be this “grand and extravagant” concept. I assumed if I wasn’t doing the most then it wasn’t enough, BUT God. He proved me otherwise. He is teaching me the simplicity of ministry and how easy it is to serve in his kingdom. It isn’t always a huge concert singing his praises or helping kids out of poverty. It’s about forming those intentional relationships and sitting down to hear about the single mom who is struggling and needs someone to talk to, dancing away our worries because it’s how some connect with Jesus, or it’s about holding the screaming baby who misses their mommy while she’s teaching women how to make bracelets. Ministry looks like eating your PB&J while looking up to see all of your squad laughing with each other and forming an even tighter bond. This isn’t manual labor and doesn’t involve just giving money away to those in need, but it’s about taking the time to sit and listen. When was the last time you were intentional?

It has been a privilege to meet and form relationships with locals throughout ministry here in San Jose. These men and women are walking testimonies of all his glorious work. How beautiful is it that one year ago I was doubting if the race would even happen, BUT God knew all along. He knew what was next for me, he’ll ALWAYS know. His promises wash over me and make me new. His love is like no other. Soak in the season you’re walking through right now because you’ll never get another one like it.  THANKS GOD !!

Now that you made it this far I have a special announcement 🙂

Gap D will be leaving Costa Rica on March 26th to head to our next country… the Dominican Republic!!! We will be spending the remainder of our race volunteering with Mission of Hope. Thank you to every single person who has supported me on my World Race Journey. DR HERE WE COME !!!
